Divide NYS into one state with three completely Autonomous Regions

"New York has many issues at the moment, one way of solving some serious problems is to divide New York into three autonomous regions. New York City shall be the "New York Region", which would consist of the counties Bronx, Kings(Brooklyn) , New York(Manhattan), Queens and Richmond.

The "Montauk Region" would consist of the counties Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, and Westchester.

The "New Amsterdam Region" would consist of the counties of Albany, Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Erie, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Orleans, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Schuyler, Seneca, St Lawrence, Steuben, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates.

The full text of the plan can be seen at the Divide NY website where a true path to better jobs, and lower taxes are not just a pipe dream but attainable goals making government work for the people again. This allows New York City to solve it's own infrastructure problems in a capable manner that serves the people. Removing unfunded mandates lowers taxes which means more jobs in New York. This is not rocket science, becoming an informed, active citizen is critical at this time in history.

Please take the local action seriously and inform your elected official that they must support the Divide NY Regional Plan at your direction. "We the people" are the true power of government, and our wishes must be honored by our elected officials. Below you will find links to this email action, customize it to your your local official and email it. Links to your local officials can be found with the letter action template. So please take a few moments and email this action letter directing your local elected official to support this Divide NY Plan, thank you.

Ask your County to adopt the following home-rule resolution
“Whereas: The views of people who live in the upstate and downstate areas of New York State are very different and really should be divided into separate states, or completely autonomous regions.
It is therefore resolved: that the ______(supervisors/legislators)__ of _ (county name)__County have adopted this home-rule resolution and request our NYS legislators support A04446/S4541 an amendment to our New York State constitution to divide our state into completely autonomous regions; the New Amsterdam, the Montauk and the New York Regions with only a token state government. The proposed amendment would partition NYS into three Autonomous Regions".

Divide New York Plan (divideny.org)

Divide NYS into one state with three completely Autonomous Regions.

While splitting the State of New York into separate states is preferable, autonomous regions should be easier to achieve. By forming Regions, not a new state, or moving counties between states, Congress can be legally bypassed, also, Congress is unlikely, in the foreseeable future, to give the Northeast two more US Senate seats a new state would require. All that is required is an amendment to the New York State Constitution.

We would partition New York State into three Autonomous Regions, the New Amsterdam Region (Upstate), the New York Region (New York City), and the Montauk Region (Long Island & Rockland/Westchester), alongside a token State government to comply with the US Constitution.
